Dr. Purcell is a primary care specialist certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.  He received his medical degree from from Mercer University in Macon, GA with honors in the basic sciences.  He completed a three year family medicine residency at Anderson Area Medical Center in Anderson, SC with training in pediatrics, general medicine,   sports medicine, women's health, geriatrics, and preventive health.  Since completing residency, Dr. Purcell has been in full-time private practice offering  preventive, primary care medicine for the entire family.      

 
Hollie received her nursing degree from Armstrong State College in Savannah, GA now known as Armstrong Atlantic University.  Before entering nursing school, she received a Bachelors in Health Science from Clemson University.  Since obtaining her RN, she has been working for Anderson Area Medical Center in Anderson, SC in the area of critical care step-down.

 Dr. Purcell and Hollie married in October 2003 and are active members at New Spring Community Church.  They enjoy traveling, music, college football, movies and Sunday afternoon naps.
